so, like everyone else in the civilized world, i've probably received way over a hundred emails about new year's eve parties this week. yikes! that's way too many. it kind of makes the whole thing seem purely commercial. my inbox was so cluttered at one point that i started to feel guilty about the two emails that went out from our office about qoöl's nye event. but hey, we just needed our wonderful qoölios to know we're here with this year's edition qoöl new year's eve (which goes something like this... wicked dj lineup, free champagne, balloons n stuff, jondi & spesh live, ridiculously low cover charge).
i should also mention that i'm djing at three of the 1000 parties tonight, so i should be able to wish 0.3% of you a happy new year in person. as for the rest of you, may 2004 be the best year ever.

ok, here's what's on tap for me today. coffee, shower, be an extra in somebody's movie, dinner with friends *or* head home and do a dinner party's worth of dishes left over from last night, then cook and eat a steak. i will probably also listen to some new music, put gas in the car and go to the bank. some of this will be relaxing =)
btw, the marriage madness party i played at last night was excellent. jay gregory and crew most certainly rock.

got home from the shoot and felt like having pasta instead of steak. home made tomato sauce is now simmering, dishes are done (did all of this will listening to the koyaanisqatsi soundtrack... kinda loud), and i now have a nice glass of red wine in front of me. did i mention that i'm tired as hell from the last two nights out djing? that's what sunday nights are for, i guess.
jondi & i are busy little music guys at the moment. things at the label (loöq records) are rocking with planning going on for the first 3 months of qoöl parties in 2004, the pulling together of much of the 2004 loöq records releases, and prep/rehearsals for jondi & spesh live on new years eve. are we having fun yet? you bet! thanksgiving was fun by the way. hope all is well with you!
