san francisco magazine just did a small story on the sf club scene.

off to the beach today after spinning at two excellent sf events last night- 111 minna's 10 year anniversary (this is where qoöl is every week), and rumor at club bas (small but enthusiastic scene). cheers to the two guys at bas who wrote down every record i played!
have a great weekend...
jondi & i are taking a short break from our studio session. he's taking a cat nap on the couch and i'm in "brain dead goof around on the computer" mode. yep, we're out of sorts today because qoöl was so darn fun last night. oh the pain.
the show will run on the last wednesday of every month at 10 pm pacific time.
we're doing the 1st hour then featuring a guest dj to mix the 2nd hour. jerry bonham, fellow qoöl resident, will occupy the guest slot for the first show, yo.
our show will be cleverly named, "jondi & spesh present loöq radio on proton" and will air monthly (can't remember the day and time). we're excited about this. the 1st of the two hours will be a jondi & spesh mix and the 2nd hour we'll feature a guest. during our mix, we plan on busting in a couple of times to announce tracks. this will probably piss off the trainspotting mix collector types, but we feel it's important to create some awareness about the music and the people making it. will fill you in on the show time once i can remember it.
these are the guys that just had us (jondi & i) down to play in hollywood. they rock. why? because they are sweating their collective asses off to create an scene they believe in. we had a blast playing for them and wish them much success in the future. here's their site if you want to say hi
