more stuff for the trainspotters... jondi & i just finished the loöq mix for emusic.com. the only change we had to make to it versus the track list i posted last month is to remove rnd (), "ripples" and add telemetry, "roqs" in its place. we did this because the release of ripples has been delayed until october and we wanted the mix out there sooner.
in other track news, we (jondi, jerry bonham and i) have been working on a new jsj track. after getting more experimental with our last few tracks (which will probably remain unreleased), this one is shaping up to be a floor filler along the lines of the stuff we did for renaissance.
here's to the crowd at qoöl who refused to leave the dancefloor last night and got me to play the really big records that i usually leave tucked away for such occasions. cheers!
you can see that my schedule is just starting to form for the fall. more dates will be added as things confirm. in the meantime... how y'all doin' out there?
the scoop here in san francisco is that 111 minna (the qoöl venue) is now fully operational after a forced 6 month closure of half the space, and we are all very much relieved. that and the sun keeps on shining (like it seems to be everywhere else in the world these days, even europe). time to get on the skateboard.
well, i made it back from europe in one piece. i spent most of the time in holland with a 24hr. stint in germany and had a blast. here's a partial list of the people that make the trip so cool:

lucien foort – for eating a full on breakfast on the turntables after your closing set.
hardy heller - for getting me a nice 2hr set on german radio with a 3hr set immediately following at rockin' ourdoor location complete with rain, thunder and lightning and an insane german crowd. this man is also a good driver!
francesco pico - thanks for the gig at sol and for giving me a cd full of your unreleased stuff. you rock.
pako & frederik - for getting your ass to the earth gig, forgetting your sunscreen the day after, and for a fun afternoon at the beach. you are mental in the best sense of the word. missed you on the terrace in wageningen!
astrid – without you there would be no holland (for me, that is!)
bart van wissen - you are one of the good ones. keep making those amazing tunes!
astrid's mom - for tuning 65 and having such a rocking party with the family, then rocking out again at supperclub.
ivo – for having great taste in music and for driving me out to the beach on the best weather day holland had ever seen.
